This video was created to help secure the second round of funding from HeroX. The AgWind Team, led by the Distributed Wind Energy Association, is bringing benefits of distributed wind energy to rural and disadvantaged communities. By offering a new, no-cost site screening and feasibility tool along with referrals for incentives and financing, AgWind reduces hurdles to wind energy adoption. We’re leveraging partnerships and our innovative online tool to confirm suitable sites, promote economic development, and enhance energy resilience. AgWind is committed to fostering a cleaner, more resilient future through sustainable locally owned wind energy.

Recorded at the Sinton County Fairgrounds, the AgWind team setup a local informational event where residents were invited to learn more about distributed wind and the AgWind program.

The video that started it all… Back in 2023 DWEA set out to build the AgWind program. With a plan of partnering with a variety industry and community-based representatives, the idea was to pilot and scale AgWind technical assistance services to jump start on-site wind development. This video was part of submission to HeroX in May 2023 for the funding necessary to kickstart AgWind.
